Dan Radcliffe leads 'Potter' fans in Farewell Tribute for next week's Scream Awards

As we previously informed you, 1,000 die-hard fans were chosen to be dressed in their best Harry Potter costumes and show up at Lincoln Center in New York for a very special presentation. The 2011 SPIKE TV Scream Awards paid a farewell tribute to the Harry Potter film series.

As part of that tribute, Samuel L. Jackson, the host of the Scream Awards, presented Dan Radcliffe with the Ultimate Scream Award and the Best Fantasy Actor Award.

Dan Radcliffe thanked all of the fans for, "the most incredible 10 years of my life on 'Harry Potter'." Following Dan's speech, Samuel L. Jackson shared a clip from Dan's upcoming film release The Woman in Black. You can see the latest trailer right here.

The SPIKE TV Scream Awards airs on Tuesday, October 18 at 9:00pm EST (check TV listings for times and channels in your area).

'Potter' series honored, takes home six awards at 2011 SCREAM Awards

As we reported yesterday, Dan Radcliffe accepted the Ultimate Scream Award for Deathly Hallows - Part 2 and the Best Fantasy Actor Award before a screaming crowd of 1,000 Harry Potter fans in Lincoln Center, as part of the 2011 SPIKE TV Scream Awards.

While the show is set to air on October 18 on SPIKE TV, it was taped last night and the winners of the awards have been announced.

The Potter series additionally picked up Best Scream-Play (Deathly Hallows - Part 2), Best Villain (Ralph Fiennes - Voldemort), Holy Sh!t Scene of the Year (Deathly Hallows - Part 2 - Room of Requirement Fiendfyre), and Best F/X (Deathly Hallows - Part 2).

The series was nominated for a total of 18 awards. You can check out all the winners right here!

Final Harry Potter film climbs to third place on the all-time worldwide chart

If it weren’t for that Muggle director James Cameron, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 2 would now be the highest-grossing movie ever at the worldwide box office. Instead, it’ll have to settle for third. Buoyed by a potent opening in China, Deathly Hallows passed The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King on Sunday to land in third place on the all-time global chart. In 26 days, the final Potter entry has so far conjured an incredible $1.13 billion worldwide. However, it’s highly unlikely that Deathly Hallows will ever reach the James Cameron stratosphere that includes Avatar ($2.78 billion) and Titanic ($1.84 billion).
